2-Pyrrolidone is a colorless or yellowish liquid or crystal. Its solidifying point is 25.6℃, flashing point 129℃, boiling point 245℃. It dissolves in water, alcohol, ether, chloroform and benzene, acidic carbon disulfide, etc., but hardly dissolves in mineral ether

Usage And Application: 2-Pyrrolidone – Premium Solvent and Intermediate for Resin and Pesticide Formulations

2-Pyrrolidone is a high-boiling polar solvent and serves as an intermediate in organic synthesis. It is primarily used in the synthesis of resins, pesticides, polyols, and oil mists, and as a solvent for iodine. It is also a raw material for the production of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), nylon-4, and brain recovery agents. Additionally, it is used in combination with PVP K15/K17 for the production of veterinary pharmaceuticals.
