Appearance and Characteristics:
Different proportions of vinylpyrrolidone with vinyl acetate can be supplied in the shape of powder, alcohol solution, 2-propyl alcohol solution, or aqueous solution. The aqueous products could be cloudy. The clarity of the solution depends on the proportion of vinylpyrrolidone with vinyl acetate. The solution is slightly acidic but not electrolytic.

Its hygroscopic capacity decreases with the increase of the proportion of vinyl acetate in the molecular, which is extremely useful for PVP/VA to be used in hair spray, mousse, and hair-set lotion. If PVP/VA is mixed with PVPK30, the effect would be better.
